Timothy Rolands

Writing, graphic design, visual arts, photography, 3D modeling and texturing....

These are some of the many creative arts I have pursued over the years, even as I built a professional career in information technology as a software engineer and application architect. From my home in central Wisconsin, I continue my creative endeavors.

Now I am returning my attention to my earliest passion — writing. I earned a BA and MA in English from Truman State University in Missouri, studying poetry under Ben Bennani and Jim Barnes. I learned about publishing, too, working with Bennani on Paintbrush and later under Robert Schnucker at the university press. There, I helped establish the T.S. Eliot Prize for poetry and the New Odyssey imprint of the press to focus on publishing poetry. I also launched my own poetry publication, Cat's Ear, and brought poets such as Diane Wakoski to do readings on campus.

I never stopped writing, and I never forgot my love of poetry.
